Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken

This crockpot recipe is so versatile! Serve it over vegetables, pasta, rice, you name it!

Ingredients

  • 14.5 Oz Canned Tomatoes (no salt added)
  • 3/4 Cup Aldi Marinara
  • 3/4 Cup Low-Fat 2% Evaporated Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1-1/2 Minced Garlic
  • 2 Tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1-1/2 Pounds Chicken Breast

Directions

  • In a crockpot add the diced tomatoes and marinara sauce. Combine the evaporated milk and cornstarch and pour in the crockpot. Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, salt and pepper.
  • Add the chicken. Cover the chicken with the sauce. Season again with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Once done, chunk up or shred the chicken. Serve over pasta.
