Losing weight is hard. We know this. But losing weight with underlying and sometimes undiagnosed medical conditions can be a nightmare. You feel like you're alone in the “turtle club". Like you'll never lose the weight. I know... I am the poster child for medical complications.I know we all want to lose weight right now, and never have a gain and just get to our goals but it doesn't always, or honestly very often even, happen that way. Our bodies are, as they say, not Amazon Prime delivering results in a few days. 😂But - I also see a lot of people who want to lose weight but have 10,000 reasons why they can't. You say you're too old, too broken, can't cook, can't exercise, don't have time, have lost your mojo and motivation, can't say no, emotionally eat, COVID happened, it was a holiday, you were on vacation.... We see them all every week when 100s of members "reset" again.Sometimes things complicate your situation. You can't compare yourself to others or their results. It just isn't the same. You also shouldn't feel like you will lose the same way you did "last time" especially if last time was 10 or 20 or 40yrs ago. You don't need to be your high school or pre-child weight...things are not the same and you may need to readjust your perspective as to what is realistic and healthy for you now... Not "last time"...
In general, the best option for any medical issue, from diabetes to autoimmune issues to PCOS or menopausal complications is the same.
If you have a medical condition that affects your journey, while it is perfectly fine to ask others for their experiences, please work with your medical team to ensure you are getting the right information for you. What works for one person, even with the same medical issues, may not work for another.Progress is progress, regardless of how slow, at least it's progress... Frustrating to lose slow - absolutely... But I say this with all the love and kindness in the world... At least you're losing...#justkeepswimmingHappy Tracking!
